Job summary

Programmed Facility Management is seeking a Vendor Manager to support a major property maintenance contract based in Docklands, Victoria. The Vendor Manager oversees the contractor network, governance, capacity, and performance to meet contractual requirements.

Working with Operations, Performance, Compliance and Finance, you will build strong relationships with suppliers, drive continuous improvement and ensure service delivery excellence across multiple streams.

Qualifications

• Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers or contractor networks.
• Strong understanding of contractor performance management and governance.
• Experience in service delivery environments with contractors.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and build effective relationships.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Experience analysing operational, performance or service delivery data.
• Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement capability.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Current Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a capable, sustainable contractor network.
• Manage relationships with subcontractors across multiple service streams.
• Ensure contractor capacity meets current and future workload demands.
• Identify capability gaps, performance concerns and resourcing risks.
• Support onboarding and integration of new suppliers and contractors.
• Develop contingency and succession plans for critical providers.
• Monitor performance against KPIs and contractual requirements.
• Conduct contractor performance reviews and engagement meetings.
• Analyse performance data, quality outcomes and operational results.
• Develop and implement contractor improvement plans.
• Support governance processes, audits and compliance activities.
• Maintain accurate contractor records and documentation.
• Support capacity planning and workload allocation.
• Assist operational teams in supplier utilisation.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Drive initiatives to improve supplier performance and service quality.
• Promote best practices across the contractor network.
• Prepare performance reports and dashboards.
• Monitor service delivery trends, risks and opportunities.
• Develop strong working relationships across operations and support functions.
• Provide recommendations to management on supplier performance and network optimisation.
