Job summary

Parks Victoria is seeking a newly created Contract Manager - Facilities and Services to lead the strategy, mobilisation and governance of complex statewide service contracts across the organisation. You will monitor supplier performance, service quality, expenditure and risk, while collaborating with Facilities, Procurement and Finance to drive value for money.

You will contribute to procurement planning, negotiations for renewals or variations, and support the transition of Essential Safety

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing complex, high-value or high-risk service contracts within a large, geographically dispersed or multi-stakeholder organisation.
• Experience establishing contract governance, managing supplier performance and resolving complex commercial or service delivery issues.
• Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary contract management practice, commercial risk, performance management, negotiation and supplier relationship management.
• Highly developed analytical, financial and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret contracts, service data and technical information.
• Highly developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with senior stakeholders, operational teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead contract management strategies, mobilisation and governance arrangements across services including security, waste and recycling, cleaning, grounds and sanitary services.
• Monitor supplier performance, service quality, expenditure, compliance and risk; identify opportunities to improve efficiency and value for money.
• Translate operational requirements into measurable service standards and provide authoritative commercial and contract management advice.
• Support procurement planning and negotiations for new, expiring or materially varied contracts.
• Assist in the transition of the Essential Safety Measures program to Facilities with governance, reporting and assurance arrangements.
