Job summary
Northern Star Resources Limited is seeking an experienced Group Mining Engineer to lead the Underground division from our Subiaco corporate office in Western Australia. This permanent full-time role involves ad-hoc site travel and reporting to the General Manager – Technical Services.
The ideal candidate has extensive underground mining experience, senior leadership capabilities, and proven success in large-scale mining projects.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering.
- AusIMM membership preferred.
- Strong 15+ years of experience in gold mining and underground operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the corporate underground technical team and mentor staff.
- Provide expert technical advice to executives and operations leaders.
- Lead mine planning, technical studies and feasibility assessments.
- Coordinate annual Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves consolidation for JORC reporting.
- Audit processes across life-of-mine planning, design, and scheduling.
- Provide strategic oversight across underground mining operations.
