Job summary
Northern Star Mining Services Limited is seeking an experienced Group Mining Engineer to lead the Underground division from our Subiaco corporate office, with occasional site travel. This permanent full-time role reports to the General Manager – Technical Services and offers a pathway to play a pivotal part in our growth and development.
The role emphasizes leading technical teams, delivering mine planning and studies, and providing strategic guidance across operations.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in the gold mining industry.
- Extensive underground mining experience.
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation for underground operations.
- Experience leading mining studies, including scoping and feasibility work.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale mining projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the corporate underground technical team.
- Provide expert technical advice to executives and operational leaders.
- Provide strategic direction to operations as required.
- Lead mine planning, technical studies and feasibility assessments.
- Coordinate annual consolidation of Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves for JORC reporting.
- Review and audit processes across cut-off grade, life-of-mine planning, mine design and scheduling.
- Provide technical oversight across underground mining operations.
