Job summary

Northern Star is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer for our Kalgoorlie Operations, Kanowna Belle Underground Mine. The role leads the Underground Technical Services team, overseeing scheduling, drill and blast, and graduate engineers.

The position is offered on an 8/6 roster (12-hour days), residential in Kalgoorlie-Boulder or FIFO from Perth, reporting to the Underground Manager. Strong leadership and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years UG hard rock mining experience.
• Deswik CAD and Scheduler packages experience; advanced MS Office.
• Experience with mining contractors; SL Open Stoping and Back Filling knowledge.
• Underground Mine Rescue experience; Power BI experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily mining activities to achieve production targets.
• Lead and mentor Drill & Blast and Ventilation Engineers.
• Support in Deputy Underground Manager role when required.
• Prepare three-month forecasts with the planning team.
