Job summary

Northern Star Resources is seeking an experienced Mine Planning Superintendent (Underground) to join our Subiaco Corporate Office. You will deliver underground ore reserve estimates, life-of-asset plans, and feasibility studies supporting strategic growth with our Kalgoorlie ops context.

The ideal candidate holds AusIMM membership and a Mining Engineering degree, 10+ years’ underground mining experience, and proficiency with Deswik and Ventsim. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• AusIMM member with mining engineering degree or equivalent and 10+ years in mining.
• Underground production and planning experience in mechanised hard rock mines.
• First-Class Mine Manager's Certificate desirable but not essential.
• Extensive planning experience from long-term to short-term horizons.
• Experience with mining tech and heavy production equipment, MS Office.
• Proficient in Deswik and Ventsim or equivalent planning software.

Responsibilities

• Compile yearly underground ore reserve estimates and life-of-asset plans.
• Undertake mine planning and feasibility work for operational and development projects.
• Assist with mine planning, engineering projects, budgeting and business assessments.
• Develop and implement best-practice standards for the planning process.
• Complete feasibility studies of alternate mine designs and scheduling.
• Provide mining engineering support for business development and due diligence.
