Job summary

Easygo is seeking a senior software engineer in Melbourne to design and build scalable backend systems. You will own substantial components, review code, and collaborate with top engineers to deliver high-impact features in the entertainment domain.

You will work with Node.js, TypeScript, microservices, and modern cloud platforms, asynchronously communicating with services using WebSockets and Pub/Sub. Flexible start times, strong growth culture, and mentorship are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering with backend focus.
• Experience with Node.js, microservices, Docker, and cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proficiency in TypeScript, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch.
• Experience with CI/CD tools for automated deployments.
• Strong architecture and design skills; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage in hands-on coding, testing, and debugging for scalable backend systems.
• Lead technical discussions and propose solutions to improve team performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge with the team.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust software.
