Job summary

Insignia Financial is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join two on-site roles in Docklands, Melbourne. You will develop SPAs with React/TypeScript and build backend services in Node.js (Express/NestJS), while designing REST APIs and authentication patterns.

The role emphasizes collaboration in Agile teams, building scalable solutions, improving CI/CD and contributing to architectural decisions. Experience with AWS and Workato exposure is valued.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in web application and API development within a large-scale organisation.
• Strong React experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Hands-on Node.js backend development with Express, NestJS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and deploy clean, reusable and well-documented software, owning delivery from inception to production.
• Develop SPAs and embedded React experiences using TypeScript, React and modern state management.
• Build backend services and integrations using Node.js technologies such as Express or NestJS.
• Design and work with REST APIs, authentication patterns and integrations, including Workato as an integration layer.
• Write unit, end-to-end and other required tests, using AI where it can improve speed and quality.
• Improve observability, resilience and production support across existing applications.
• Contribute to CI/CD workflows, technical documentation, story grooming and Scrum ceremonies.
• Partner with the Tech Lead, Product Owner, stakeholders and engineers to continuously improve the software development lifecycle.
