Job summary

Professional Recruitment Australia – Melbourne VIC is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to lead the design and development of a browser-based SaaS platform for Health-Tech customers. The role focuses on React, Next.js, TypeScript on the frontend and Node.js on the backend, with modernisation of a legacy .NET Framework app.

You will drive backend architecture decisions, collaborate on AWS infrastructure, and champion code quality, reporting to the CTO. Hybrid work model in Melbourne region.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of experience building and maintaining full-stack web applications.
• Expert-level Node.js, TypeScript and React across the stack, with backend focus.
• Strong Next.js experience and modern frontend architecture knowledge.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and relational databases, MSSQL preferred.
• Hands-on with AI-powered dev tools to accelerate delivery.
• Working knowledge of .NET (C#), including legacy .NET Framework, is a strong advantage.

About the opportunity

• A health-tech Startup/Scale up
• Building a next-generation SaaS platform set to modernise how their products are delivered, end to end!
• Tech stack centred on React, Next.js, TypeScript and Node.js and AWS (Lambda, EC2, RDS) underneath

What you'll bring

• 6-8+ years' experience building and maintaining Full Stack web applications
• Expert-level Node, TypeScript and React across the full stack - ideally leaning more towards the Backend.
• Strong Next.js experience and deep knowledge of modern frontend architecture
• Confident integrating third-party APIs and working with relational databases, especially MSSQL
• Hands-on experience using AI-powered dev tools (Codex, Claude Code, Cursor or similar) to accelerate delivery
• Working knowledge of .NET (C#), including legacy .NET Framework, is a strong advantage given some remaining legacy systems.
