Job summary

Transport for NSW is recruiting for a permanent full-time Network Operations professional in South Eveleigh, Sydney. You will help improve NSW road network performance, safety, and efficiency, working with a broad range of stakeholders to deliver practical, value-driven outcomes.

You’ll review signals, develop SCATS-based strategies, conduct inspections, and prepare technical documentation to inform decision-making.

Qualifications

Experienced traffic or engineering professional with strong understanding of road network operations.
Demonstrated ability to work in complex operational environments and deliver outcomes for road users.
Good communication with technical and non-technical audiences and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

Identify and implement initiatives that improve network performance, efficiency and safety outcomes.
Review traffic signal designs and provide specialist recommendations for safe, compliant operations.
Develop and implement traffic signal and SCATS strategies to enhance traffic flow and safety.
Review network changes and provide recommendations to support operational effectiveness.
Conduct site inspections, audits and operational assessments to inform decisions.
Prepare reports and briefs to support projects and operations.
Collaborate with government, councils and industry to achieve shared objectives.
Support delivery of network improvement projects within scope, standards and timeframes.
Assist with event and incident planning and operational activities as required.
