Job description

Profectus is seeking multiple experienced Senior Test Analysts to support the delivery of ICT projects and programs within an agency of the Australian Government. Working as part of Agile delivery teams, you will set the test approach for a release, write and execute test cases, and report on quality and progress to project and business stakeholders. The work covers test planning and strategy, functional, integration and regression testing across release cycles, issue triage and test reporting. This is an opportunity to apply your testing experience on nationally significant systems where accuracy, reliability and dependable delivery matter.

Key Responsibilities

• Work within project test teams to develop test plans and test strategies, then execute and report against them
• Engage with business stakeholders and development teams to understand the scope of product releases
• Develop acceptance criteria based on business objectives, functional requirements and service level requirements
• Prepare test scenarios and test scripts for each release
• Undertake functional, integration and regression testing across release cycles
• Report and track the resolution of defects identified during testing
• Support issue triage activities across delivery teams
• Produce test reports for project, business and executive audiences
• Liaise with vendors, business areas and internal ICT teams as required
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices across the delivery function
• Perform other duties as directed by Directors, Team Leaders or a delegate

Required Experience

• Demonstrated experience across the full test lifecycle including preparation, execution and reporting
• Experience developing test plans, test strategies, test scenarios and test scripts
• Proficiency with test and defect management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or similar
• Proven experience working in Agile delivery teams
• Strong conceptual, analytical and interpretive skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to engage and collaborate with internal ICT areas, project teams, business areas and external service providers
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities as a self motivated team member
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
• Experience testing enterprise or business critical applications in a governed delivery environment
• Tertiary qualifications or industry recognised certification in Information Management, Computer Science or a related discipline
• SQL querying ability
• Programming knowledge
• Prior experience supporting ICT modernisation or transformation programs within Australian Government agencies

Security Clearance Requirements

• Must be an Australian citizen
• Must hold an active Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance prior to commencement
