Job summary

Compas Pty Ltd in Canberra is seeking a Junior Test Analyst to support complex ICT systems in an Australian Government environment. You will develop and execute test cases, manage defects and test data, analyse results and collaborate with technical and business teams across Agile and Waterfall delivery.

This 9-month contract, hybrid work with at least two days in the office, requires Baseline clearance and strong communication to coordinate with analysts, developers and SMEs and support UAT.

Job Title

Junior Test Analyst | Manual Testing & Agile

Build your testing career as a Junior Test Analyst supporting complex ICT systems in an Australian Government environment. Develop and execute test cases, manage defects and test data, analyse results and collaborate with technical and business teams across Agile and Waterfall delivery.

Location

ACT (preferred), or an agreed office location in NSW, QLD, VIC or SA

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid - minimum 2 days per week from the applicable office

Contract Duration:

9 months, with possible 2 x 12-month extensions

Essential Tasks

• Prepare, maintain, execute and review test requirements, test cases and scripts.
• Perform manual testing, document results and raise, investigate and retest defects.
• Identify test data requirements and maintain appropriate test data and artefacts.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, SMEs and business teams, including supporting UAT.

Key Criteria

• Experience analysing requirements, user stories and designs to develop effective test cases and scripts.
• Experience executing manual tests, documenting defects and supporting defect investigation and retesting.
• Ability to analyse test results, investigate issues and recommend practical quality improvements.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
