Job summary

eNerds, a leading Australian MSP, is seeking a Senior Systems / Network Engineer (MSP) to lead a small onsite team of engineers and service desk specialists. You’ll stay hands-on while mentoring staff, guiding complex technical work and ensuring high-quality client outcomes.

You’ll contribute to continuous improvement, manage escalations, document standards, and partner with clients across multiple environments to deliver reliable IT services.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT infrastructure / systems engineering (MSP experience highly preferred).
• Strong experience across networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routing, switching, Wi-Fi).
• Experience working on Level 1-3 tickets and handling Severity 1 issues.
• Proven mentoring and team leadership experience.
• Strong documentation skills with clear outputs.
• Confident communicator translating tech into business impact.
• Good time management for self and team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Engineering & Support team with day-to-day leadership.
• Own ticket quality, workflows and escalations to meet timeframes.
• Provide senior technical support for complex systems and networking.
• Contribute to projects and continuous improvement of tools and standards.
• Mentor engineers and identify skill gaps for training.
