Job summary

Kinetic IT is seeking an SOE Engineer or Senior SOE Engineer to develop and support enterprise Windows desktop and server SOEs across environments. This role is 100% onsite in a Federal Government customer environment and requires an active NV1 or NV2 Government security clearance.

You will build, package, deploy, and harden desktop builds and ensure compliance and supportability across secure environments.

Qualifications

• Australian Citizenship and an active NV1 or NV2 Australian Government security clearance.
• A strong background in enterprise endpoint engineering, with the judgement to work effectively in secure, complex and highly controlled environments.
• A methodical approach to diagnosing problems, assessing risk and delivering practical, supportable solutions.
• Clear technical documentation and communication skills, with the ability to work across engineering, security and support teams.
• For senior-level opportunities, the ability to lead complex work, set technical direction and improve engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and improve secure Windows 10/11 and Windows Server SOEs across production and test environments.
• Manage operating system imaging, configuration, patching, application deployment and endpoint compliance through SCCM/MECM.
• Package, test and release Microsoft 365, Adobe Reader and bespoke applications for secure enterprise use.
• Troubleshoot complex SOE and application issues, document solutions and collaborate with infrastructure, security and support teams.
