Job summary

Clicks, Melbourne-based, seeks a Level 3 System Engineer to own the Microsoft 365 environment, cloud platforms, infrastructure and security initiatives across a multi-site setting. This hands-on role suits a senior technical professional who delivers reliable IT operations in collaboration with an external managed service provider.

You will lead complex engineering tasks, drive automation, and contribute to strategic IT projects while maintaining security and compliance across the environment.

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.
• Five or more years' experience in senior systems engineering, infrastructure support or systems administration roles.
• Strong Microsoft 365 expertise including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Entra ID, Teams and Intune.
• Experience managing infrastructure across multiple sites.
• Demonstrated experience delivering technical projects and system improvements.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience working with cybersecurity frameworks, controls and incident response activities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience within the not-for-profit sector is highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 technical support and complex incident resolution.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative measures.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Entra ID and Microsoft Teams Phone.
• Manage Microsoft Intune and endpoint device management.
• Support infrastructure including firewalls, routers, switches, wireless networks and printers.
• Manage monitoring, backup, antivirus and patch management platforms.
• Lead infrastructure improvement, lifecycle management and optimisation initiatives.
• Enhance cybersecurity controls including Conditional Access, endpoint protection and security monitoring.
• Support vulnerability management, threat detection and incident response activities.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement.
