Job summary

Early Start Australia and Everyday Independence is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to support our national network of clinics and hubs across Australia. You will own design, delivery, and ongoing improvement of Microsoft 365, cloud, and networking platforms, while mentoring junior engineers and shaping our modern workplace direction.

You will lead complex projects, strengthen security and reliability, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a senior infrastructure role within a medium to large enterprise.
• Hands-on with Microsoft 365 technologies including Entra, Defender XDR, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint and Teams.
• Proficient with Azure services (Compute, Storage, networking, security).
• Strong identity and access management knowledge (Conditional Access, PIM, identity collaboration).
• PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Experience supporting enterprise networking (VPNs, Firewalls, switches, WiFi).
• Ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions.
• Experienced delivering technical projects in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365, cloud, and infrastructure platforms across the organisation.
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex infrastructure, networking, security, and M365 incidents.
• Identify risks and opportunities; implement improvements to security, reliability, and performance.
• Lead technical projects from planning to delivery; ensure business/tech outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable tech solutions.
• Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation and architecture diagrams.
• Mentor junior engineers; promote best practices and build technical capability.
• Contribute to infrastructure standards, governance, and security controls.
