Box Hill Institute is seeking a Student Success Program Manager to lead a high-impact program aimed at improving student wellbeing, engagement, retention and completion outcomes. The role collaborates across Student Life and teaching faculties to deliver timely, within-budget services that support participation.

The successful candidate will have senior leadership experience, a track record in governance and a strong focus on evidence-based practice to drive continuous improvement in student

Qualifications

• A relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in project management, community services, health promotion, student support, education, public sector administration or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training and extensive senior-level experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the Student Success service model, including workforce planning, service quality, practice standards and escalation pathways.
• Provide leadership, guidance and support to Student Success Coordinators, ensuring effective workload management and professional practice oversight.
• Oversee program governance, contract milestones, reporting, budget monitoring, risk management and compliance requirements.
• Build strong partnerships with faculties, government stakeholders, community organisations and external providers to support student engagement and success.
• Lead training, capability development and change initiatives that strengthen early intervention and student support practices.
• Manage complex and high-risk student matters, ensuring appropriate governance, escalation and support pathways are in place.
• Use data, evaluation and evidence to measure program impact, identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare strategic reports, governance papers, briefings and recommendations for senior leadership.
