Job summary

Glencore Mount Isa Mines seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead remediation, preservation, and installation projects across surface operations. You will plan, coordinate and supervise structural improvements with strong safety leadership and contractor oversight.

Qualifications

• Experience in structural inspection, assessment, defect remediation and project delivery.
• Experience inspecting existing structures, assessing defects and developing practical remediation solutions for operating environments.
• Strong risk-based decision making and prioritisation across a defect portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Lead inspection, assessment, scoping and remediation plans for structural defects across processing and surface operations.
• Manage asset remediation portfolio with prioritised defects based on risk and urgency.
• Group and sequence remediation works to improve efficiency and reduce mobilisation.
• Coordinate with Construction Supervisors and contractors for safe planning, risk controls, and quality control.
• Provide engineering oversight during construction and verify remediation works meet designs and specs.
• Monitor progress, budgets, forecasts and performance metrics; report to stakeholders.
• Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments and safety leadership activities.
