Job summary

Glencore’s George Fisher Mine in Mount Isa, QLD is seeking a Senior Superintendent – Engineering Projects to lead the Engineering Projects function across sustaining capital, improvement initiatives and longer-term capital delivery.

You will manage a multidisciplinary team of Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Structural engineers, partnering with maintenance, reliability and operations to deliver safe, on-budget outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• 7+ years' experience within mining, heavy industry or similar.
• Experience leading engineering or project teams and budgets.
• Experience with SAP or similar maintenance/asset management systems.
• S1, S2 and S3 qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary Engineering Projects team.
• Plan and deliver sustaining capital and longer-term engineering projects.
• Prioritise projects in line with operational requirements and business priorities.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely and to scope, schedule and budget.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting and financial performance.
• Provide engineering support across maintenance, reliability, safety and operations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and asset optimisation.
• Coach and develop engineers and project personnel.
• Contribute to engineering standards and asset strategy.
