Job summary

Glencore Mount Isa Mines is seeking a Senior Asset Management & Reliability professional to lead maintenance strategy across fixed plant and mobile assets. You will provide technical direction and coach Reliability Engineers to improve equipment performance.

Based in Mount Isa, this residential role offers relocation support, rental assistance, and exposure to major capital projects within a global mining leader.

Qualifications

• Experience in reliability engineering, asset management, and maintenance strategy in mining or heavy industry.
• Knowledge of RCM/FMECA, failure modes, and risk-based maintenance.
• Ability to lead and coach cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and optimisation of maintenance strategies across fixed plant and mobile assets.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Reliability Engineers.
• Drive asset management and reliability improvement initiatives across the operation.
• Review maintenance strategies for practicality and risk-based alignment.
• Collaborate with maintenance, planning, operations and engineering teams to resolve reliability issues.
• Lead investigations of failures and drive maintenance improvements.
• Govern systems such as SAP PM and condition monitoring tools.
• Ensure strategies align with site conditions and lifecycle cost principles.
• Provide practical recommendations to site leadership and maintenance teams.
• Support budget development and lifecycle planning.
• Promote standard asset management practices across fixed and mobile maintenance.
• Foster accountability and continuous improvement culture.
