Job summary

BG&E Minerals is expanding its Western Australia operations, seeking a Structural Engineer to deliver responsible design and technical leadership across mining projects. You will apply your civil/structural expertise to ensure safety, constructability and compliance while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and clients.

You will work in a hybrid setup, contributing to project delivery, risk management and continuous improvement, with a focus on practical, buildable solutions for site

Qualifications

• BEng or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 3–5 years' post-graduate structural engineering experience.
• Solid understanding of Australian standards and construction safety principles.
• Skilled in structural analysis software and clear documentation.
• Proactive, hands-on approach to solving engineering challenges.
• Strong communication and coordination with site teams.

Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed analysis and structural design for safety, compliance and constructability.
• Assess behaviour of materials under construction-stage conditions.
• Develop construction methodologies and sequencing plans with site teams.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and consultants to deliver coordinated solutions.
• Review technical reports, drawings and calculations for quality and accuracy.
• Prepare and assist with tendering and winning of work.
• Liaise with clients, authorities and stakeholders for project delivery.
• Apply project management principles to achieve deliverables on time.
• Prepare and review technical reports.
• Identify and manage technical and commercial risks.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and participate in workshops and risk assessments.
• Ensure work complies with legislation, standards and corporate requirements.
• Represent BG&E Minerals and communicate value to clients.
