Job summary

BG&E Minerals is establishing a Structural Engineering team in Western Australia. You will apply your civil/structural expertise across a range of studies and projects, contributing to safer designs and practical solutions.

Qualifications

• BEng or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience as a structural engineer after graduation.
• Solid understanding of Australian standards and construction safety principles.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software and producing clear documentation.
• Proven ability to develop practical, buildable solutions under site constraints.
• Strong communication and coordination with site teams and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed analysis and structural design to ensure safety, compliance, and constructability.
• Assess the behaviour and performance of materials under construction conditions.
• Develop and advise on construction methodologies and sequencing plans with site teams and contractors.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and consultants to deliver coordinated solutions.
• Review technical reports, drawings, and design calculations for quality and accuracy.
• Prepare/assist with tendering and winning of work.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities and stakeholders for project delivery.
• Prepare and review technical reports.
• Identify and manage technical and commercial risks on behalf of BG&E and clients.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and participate in interdisciplinary workshops and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and standards.
