Job summary

Lion is seeking a Senior Strategy Manager to join the Strategy team in Sydney, Australia, focusing on ANZ opportunities and enterprise-wide growth. You will work with senior leaders across Lion, Kirin and external partners to explore markets, business models, and capabilities that shape the next 3–10 years.

You’ll investigate opportunities, build commercial cases, and translate thinking into clear decisions and roadmaps, impacting strategy across Australia and New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Strong strategic and structured problem-solving capability.
• Commercial and financial acumen with an eye for value creation.
• Experience in a complex business environment, ideally FMCG; other consumer industries may translate.
• Background or exposure to Finance or Supply Chain is valuable.
• Ability to think enterprise-wide and connect different parts of a business.
• Confidence in challenging senior stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills with independent drive.
• Ability to simplify complexity and communicate a compelling recommendation.

• Lead the discovery and definition of complex strategic projects.
• Build business cases that assess value creation, investment, risks and trade-offs.
• Explore future scenarios and challenge assumptions to strengthen decision making.
• Connect opportunities and capabilities across Lion, Kirin and external partners.
• Turn strategic choices into clear priorities, roadmaps and actions.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Technology, Insights and Planning.
