Job summary

Indigo People is seeking a Solutions & Commissioning Engineer for Sydney or Melbourne. You will design, program and commission integrated electronic security systems across CCTV, access control and VMS platforms.

You will work with project managers and on-site technicians to deliver technically sound, scalable solutions. The role involves configuring networks, documenting designs and supporting remote technicians through installation and commissioning, with a focus on integration and quality

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in commercial electronic security.
• Hands-on experience with Inner Range Integriti.
• Hands-on experience with Milestone.
• Experience programming and commissioning electronic security systems.
• Strong understanding of CCTV and access control systems.
• Understanding of networking and how electronic security systems operate within IT environments.
• Ability to interpret and create technical documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work with Project Managers, technicians and client IT teams.
• Structured and commercially aware approach to project delivery.
• Experience with Genetec and/or Gallagher is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop integrated electronic security solutions across commercial projects.
• Program and commission CCTV, access control and Video Management Systems.
• Configure cameras, NVRs, security software and associated hardware.
• Work with platforms including Inner Range Integriti and Milestone.
• Integrate multiple security products and ensure systems communicate correctly.
• Develop system layouts, technical drawings, network designs and configuration plans.
• Use tools such as MS Visio to document system and site designs.
• Collaborate with Project Managers during technical project delivery.
• Communicate with client IT teams regarding networks and infrastructure.
• Remotely support and direct on-site technicians during installation and commissioning.
• Test, troubleshoot and resolve technical integration issues.
• Complete commissioning, technical documentation and project handovers.
• Ensure solutions are technically sound, efficient and fit for purpose.
