Job summary

Roc Consulting in Melbourne, VIC is seeking an Electronic Security Commissioning Engineer to lead the programming, commissioning and integration of complex security systems on commercial projects.

You will configure access control, CCTV and IP networks, perform testing and fault finding, and work with a technically experienced team to deliver projects on time and to specification.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in electronic security.
• Strong programming and commissioning experience.
• Solid understanding of access control, CCTV and IP networking.
• Manufacturer certifications will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

About the Role

An established electronic security integrator is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer / Technician to join its Melbourne team.

The role focuses on programming, commissioning, integrating and delivering complex electronic security systems across commercial and enterprise projects.

• $100k - $120k + Super (Negotiable on experience)
• Fully maintained company vehicle
• Work across complex and technically interesting security projects
• Exposure to leading access control, CCTV and integration platforms

Duties

• Programming and commissioning electronic security systems
• Configure and integrate access control, CCTV and associated security platforms
• Complete system testing, fault finding and troubleshooting
• Assist with the development and implementation of integrated security solutions
• Work with IP networks and associated security hardware
• Interpret system designs, drawings and technical documentation
• Liaise with project teams, clients and other stakeholders
• Ensure systems are delivered and commissioned to specification

Skills & Experience

• 3+ years' experience within electronic security
• Strong programming and commissioning experience
• Solid understanding of access control, CCTV and IP networking
• Experience with one or more of the following highly regarded:
• Integriti
• Milestone
• Relevant manufacturer certifications will be highly regarded
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently across technically complex projects
