Job summary

PMT Security Systems is seeking an on-site Technical Engineer (Electronic Security) in Melbourne. The role focuses on incident management, troubleshooting across Alarm, Access Control and CCTV, and supporting field engineers.

You will collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure project success and regulatory compliance. Minimum 3–5 years in technical electronic security or IT support, with a mandatory security clearance/license.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in technical electronic security engineering or IT support.
• Experience in security systems or related sector preferred.
• Ability to manage or influence cross-functional teams effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Relevant security clearance/license is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Manage an incident queue and support security services for the customer.
• Investigate causes and manage incidents through resolution.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and operational issues in Alarm, Access Control, and CCTV.
• Support field engineers with installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Liaise with project managers, sales, service delivery and technical teams.
• Assist pre-sales with scoping solutions and cost estimation.
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with standards.
• Mentor junior staff and share knowledge within the team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver projects on time and to quality.
