Agilitus is seeking a detail-oriented SMP Designer to deliver high-quality drafting outputs across Structural, Mechanical and Piping disciplines. Based in Mandurah or Perth, you’ll develop practical SMP solutions, support junior team members, and liaise with clients to ensure projects meet standards, budgets, and schedules.

Qualifications

• Diploma in engineering or equivalent drafting traineeship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve Structural, Mechanical and Piping design drafting tools for use across the team.
• Undertake Structural, Mechanical and/or Piping design tasks from concept through to commissioning.
• Assist with identifying new work opportunities and contribute to development of project scopes and estimates.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a detail-oriented SMP Designer who can deliver high-quality design outputs using Agilitus systems and procedures. This role can be based out of either our Mandurah or Perth office. You'll be developing practical and efficient SMP solutions, supporting junior team members, and building strong relationships with colleagues and clients. This role involves working across a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with client standards, Australian regulations, and delivering within budget and timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Developing and improving Structural, Mechanical and Piping design drafting tools for use across the team.
• Undertaking Structural, Mechanical and or Piping design tasks from concept through to commissioning
• Assisting with identifying new work opportunities and providing inputs into development of new project scopes and estimate and, other duties as required to enable the team to deliver projects.

Here’s what you’ll need

• Diploma in engineering or applicable drafting traineeship (or similar)
• Ability to use all engineering designs systems and softwares efficiently and ability to train other employees how to use them effectively.
• Good communication skills with the ability to give clear and accurate instructions or updates when requested to team members.
