Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Senior Safety Advisor in Sydney to join a Tier 2 commercial construction contractor. The role offers a mix of office and site-based responsibilities, driving a proactive safety culture and ensuring best-practice WHS standards across multiple projects.

Key duties include conducting site inspections, leading incident investigations, and delivering safety training, with opportunities for long-term career progression within a supportive leadership team.

Qualifications

• Experience applying Australian WHS legislation and industry best practice.
• Ability to lead and influence site teams to achieve safety outcomes.
• Strong communication with project teams, clients and subcontractors.
• Capability to conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a positive safety culture across projects.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety reviews.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, policies, and client requirements.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in development and delivery of safety initiatives and training.
• Support project teams with risk assessments, SWMS reviews, and safety planning.
• Prepare safety reports and provide guidance to management and site personnel.
• Build relationships with subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders.
