Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Senior Safety Advisor for a Sydney-based Tier 2 commercial construction contractor. The role combines office duties with on-site safety leadership across multiple projects, driving proactive WHS culture and best-practice compliance.

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in commercial construction safety, strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, and proven ability to influence site teams to achieve positive safety outcomes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Safety Advisor or Senior Safety Advisor within commercial construction
• Sound knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and industry best practice
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to influence site teams and promote positive safety outcomes
• Relevant safety qualifications
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a positive safety culture across all project teams
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety reviews
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company policies, and client requirements
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
• Assist in the development and delivery of safety initiatives and training programs
• Support project teams with risk assessments, SWMS reviews, and safety planning
• Prepare safety reports and provide guidance to management and site personnel
• Build strong relationships with subcontractors, clients, and key stakeholders
