Job summary
Obsidian Security is seeking a Principal Sales Engineer to lead the technical evaluation stage and mentor the team as part of our customer-facing unit in Australia. You will partner with sales to advise on SaaS security solutions and act as a trusted technical advocate for prospects through the entire sales cycle.
The ideal candidate combines offensive/defensive cybersecurity experience with strong software engineering skills, and is comfortable traveling to engage with customers and partners
Qualifications
- Strong blend of communication and technical skills to be the field-facing ambassador.
- Expert-level knowledge of cybersecurity, especially Cloud and SaaS security concerns.
- Experience interacting with APIs, integrations, and middle-ware.
- Willingness to travel depending on customer opportunities and role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining Obsidian solutions to prospective and existing customers.
- Partner internally and externally to assess security needs and to determine requirements and alignment of Obsidian solutions to prospect pain points.
- Conduct solution proof-of-value engagements to obtain technical wins.
- Conduct field reconnaissance to provide feedback to product management and engineering.
