Underwood Family Doctors is seeking an experienced medical receptionist to manage a busy reception desk and maintain an efficient, welcoming environment for patients and staff. The role suits someone with general practice experience and a proactive approach, able to work independently or in a team.

The position involves greeting patients, managing appointments and registrations, handling Medicare and private billing, and supporting seamless day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• At least two years' experience as a medical receptionist in general practice.
• Proficiency in Best Practice practice management software.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare billing, private billing and payment processing.
• Ability to prioritise competing tasks and work confidently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, empathetic manner.
• Reliability, attention to detail and a collaborative approach.
• Competence with email, Microsoft Office and general computer tasks.
• Competitive hourly remuneration reflecting your experience.
• Approximately 20 casual hours per week, with shifts discussed during recruitment.

Responsibilities
