Job summary

Qantas invites a Senior Quality Engineer – Conversational AI to join our new Product Innovation Centre in Adelaide. You will design and execute automated tests for chatbot solutions, validate conversation flows, and collaborate with product, engineering and AI teams to raise QA standards across CAI initiatives.

You'll embed testing into CI/CD pipelines, tackle non-functional requirements like performance, security and accessibility, and help shape our CAI quality engineering capability with

Qualifications

• Hands-on QA with Conversational AI or chatbot platforms.
• Proven Cyara Botium test automation experience.
• Testing conversation flows, intents, entities and dialogue management.
• Validating chatbot integrations with backend systems and APIs.
• Design end-to-end test strategies for AI-driven experiences.
• Embed chatbot testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Understand AI testing challenges: ambiguity, edge cases, data quality.
• Test non-functional requirements: performance, security, accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Test and validate chatbot solutions and CAI QA capability.
• Design automated chatbot tests and validate conversation flows.
• Troubleshoot issues and improve tools, frameworks, and approaches.
