Job summary

Flight Centre Travel Group offers a Quality Assurance Engineer role in South Bank, QLD to drive product quality and automation. You will lead testing initiatives, build automated frameworks, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to mitigate risk and improve release quality.

You will work within the FCB Delivery team in Leisure Travel, delivering end-to-end testing across web platforms and supporting peer reviews, sprint planning, and UAT sign-offs for production releases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience planning, coordinating, and reporting on software testing across projects.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks including Cypress, Playwright, Jest, Postman, BrowserStack, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of agile team practices and sprint events, and how quality fits into each of them.
• Self-organised and proactive in resolving quality problems and driving work without direct direction.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript and TypeScript for automated tests.
• Experience implementing automated testing, quality gates, and CI/CD, including GitHub Actions.
• Relevant degree-equivalent education, AWS, performance testing, observability tools (Splunk/New Relic), ISTQB certification and Quality Assurance model will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA initiatives through test plans, test cases, acceptance criteria and automated testing solutions.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and CI/CD quality controls.
• Embed testing practices across the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers and Business Analysts to identify risks and improve efficiency.
• Coach developers on quality engineering and continuous improvement.
• Deliver quality reports, dashboards and automation initiatives.
