Job summary

Flight Centre Travel Group is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to lead testing initiatives, champion automation, and improve engineering efficiency in the Leisure Travel domain in Australia. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to embed quality throughout development.

You will build and maintain end-to-end testing frameworks, support sprint planning and UAT, and mentor team members on best practices in quality assurance and automation.

Qualifications

• Experience planning, coordinating, and reporting on software testing initiatives across projects.
• Hands-on with test automation tools and frameworks including Cypress, Playwright, Jest, Postman, BrowserStack.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript for automated test solutions.
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines and quality gates (GitHub Actions).
• Relevant degree-equivalent education with QA exposure or ISTQB considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality engineering initiatives with test plans, test cases, and automated testing solutions.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and CI/CD quality controls.
• Embed testing practices across the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineers, and Business stakeholders to identify risks and improve efficiency.
• Coach teams on quality engineering and test automation best practices.
• Deliver quality reporting, dashboards, and automation initiatives.
