Job summary

Icon Water is seeking a Data Engineer to help shape how data becomes actionable insights for Canberra's essential services. You will work in the Enterprise Architecture team to develop and maintain data solutions that enable trusted, accessible information for reporting, analytics and decision-making.

You will partner with stakeholders across operational, technical and corporate areas to build a modern data ecosystem supporting self-service analytics and improved data accessibility.

Qualifications

Experience developing and maintaining Power BI dataflows, semantic models and reporting solutions.
Strong capability in data extraction, transformation and modelling using Power Query (M), SQL, Azure Data Factory and SSIS.
Knowledge of dimensional modelling, star schema design and BI best practices.
Experience supporting self‑service analytics and enabling business users to derive value from data.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Power Platform technologies and modern data engineering practices.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Tertiary qualifications in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline. Microsoft Power BI certifications will be highly regarded.
