Job summary

Icon Water is seeking a Media and Communications Coordinator to tell the story of its essential water services. You will engage proactively with media, craft content, and deliver timely communications to build trust with customers and the community.

The role focuses on media engagement, content creation, spokesperson support, and incident-related communications, contributing to the reputation of Canberra's key service provider.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in marketing, communications or a related discipline.
• Experience in working in a fast-paced Media environment, with strong public relations and crisis communication experience.
• Experience with online communications, including website maintenance and social media sites.
• Experience in writing, proofreading and editing content.
• Knowledge of effective communication practices.

You build trusted relationships, manage competing priorities with ease, and bring creativity, initiative and sound judgement to everything you do. Most importantly, you're a collaborative team player who is passionate about delivering communications that make an impact. You also have the following:

• Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in marketing, communications or a related discipline
