Job summary

NSW Ombudsman is seeking a Senior Project Officer to lead the MDT Act oversight, monitor and report on its operation, and support PID-related projects. The role requires policy analysis, data evaluation, and collaboration with agencies to improve public administration and fairness for NSW residents.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing reports on complex investigations or reviews of legislation and effective communication of monitoring results.
• Ability to draw on research and analysis to inform public-interest recommendations.
• Experience identifying information from agencies and stakeholders using legislated powers and handling privacy/state records responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects monitoring the MDT Act and provide analyses to support oversight.
• Develop and finalise projects focused on MDT Act oversight and reporting.
• Contribute to public reports, strategic inquiries, research and systemic reviews.
