Job summary

Fulton Hogan Australia Pty Limited seeks a Senior Project Engineer (Civil) to lead a long-term watermain renewal program in Queensland. You will manage design through construction, mentoring site teams and coordinating with subcontractors and clients to deliver complex CBD projects.

The role emphasises technical oversight, risk management, and strong safety and quality outcomes within a high-achieving delivery team. Excellent growth pathways are offered.

We wish to complement our existing team with an experienced Senior Project Engineers (Civil) to join our growing long-term watermain renewals program of works within the Queensland Utilities division. These are key roles within a high performing, fast paced, integrated delivery team, responsible for driving the technical, commercial and construction performance of capital works across the region. In this role you'll be responsible for:

• Lead the engineering delivery for a diverse range of critical watermain renewal projects in and around the Brisbane CBD from design through to construction and commissioning
• Provide technical input and oversight, design management and constructability input across all aspects of planning and delivery
• Planning, cost control, risk management and program reporting
• Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with specifications, safety and quality standards and regulations
• Build strong long term relationships with delivery subcontractors, self perform crews and the client
• Drive quality and safety assurance, ensuring work is carried out safely and in compliance with standards and relevant legislation
• Mentor Site and Project Engineers and contribute to the program's technical capability.

How you'll connect to the role:

• Degree qualified in Engineering (Civil)
• Extensive experience in delivering water pipeline installation capital works projects on major infrastructure programs, including trunk mains, reticulation & complex watermains, or transferable sewer pipeline installation experience
• Eager to join a high performing team to deliver a long term program of watermain infrastructure upgrades in complex CBD locations
• Strong understanding of Australian standards, Water Authority requitements and relevant codes
• Proven ability to manage contractors, consultants and stakeholders in a collaborative environment
• Strong people management skills, the ability to develop effective teams and lead from the front (both subcontractors and self-perform staff)
