Job summary

Fulton Hogan on the Gold Coast is seeking a skilled Supervisor to join our Utilities team as part of a 10 year program of works for the City of Gold Coast. This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career within a vibrant delivery team that delivers world class utilities services to communities.

You will lead a self-perform crew and subcontractors, manage civil works including concrete structures and piling, and coordinate on-site cranes while upholding safety, quality and environmental

Qualifications

• Ideally you will have an appropriate trade certificate (or equivalent).
• Experience as a field Supervisor working on civil projects involving water retaining structures.
• Proven commitment to leading safety, quality and environmental compliance on site.
• Strong people management skills, the ability to develop effective teams.
• A sound understanding of industrial construction methodologies and standards.
• Strong management capabilities with the ability to lead from the front (both subcontractors and self-perform staff).
• Adopting and driving Fulton Hogan’s Living Safely 2.0 Culture.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and managing a self-perform team and subcontractors
• Managing civil concrete structures along with piling activities
• Coordinating multiple cranes on site
• Ensuring workers implement control measures to minimise risk to health and safety of themselves and others through SWMS, Special Processes and Corrective Actions
• Reports incidents, non-conformances and near misses and participate in incident investigations when required
• Collaborating with project engineers/managers, civil/ mechanical/ electrical disciplines
• Planning, calculating and monitoring daily cost of resources
• Conduct Toolbox talks and prestart meetings.
