Job summary

FCC Construction Australia Pty Ltd – Sydney CBD NSW seeks an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join the delivery team and drive the successful realization of a landmark Sydney infrastructure project. You will work with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, design teams, subcontractors and the broader project team to ensure safe, timely and quality delivery.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer (SPE) to join the delivery team and play a key role in bringing a landmark Sydney project to life.

As Senior Project Engineer, you will work closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, design teams, subcontractors and broader project team to drive the successful delivery of complex infrastructure works.

This is an opportunity to join a major project from an early stage and have genuine influence over how the works are planned, coordinated and delivered.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering delivery across allocated work packages.
• Coordinate design, RFIs, technical queries and constructability.
• Manage subcontractor interfaces, quality and technical deliverables.

• Support construction teams to deliver safely and efficiently.

About You

You will be an experienced Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer with a strong background delivering complex infrastructure, civil construction, tunnelling, rail, stations or major building/infrastructure projects.

• Proven experience delivering complex construction packages in a major project environment.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering principles and project controls.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple project interfaces.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach to project delivery.
• The ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of your work packages.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality and project outcomes.
• Experience across rail, metro, underground stations, tunnelling or major transport infrastructure will be highly regarded.
