Job summary

Hindmarsh is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead the construction delivery for a busy Sydney project. Under the mentorship of a Project Manager, you will oversee the program from start to finish, ensuring on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery while maintaining safety.

You will develop and maintain construction programmes, manage subcontractors and suppliers, execute procurement strategies, and apply value engineering to drive cost savings without sacrificing quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in construction.
• Experience on large building projects.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Job description

We are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineers to help assist our busy Sydney team. Under the mentorship of a Project Manager, you will oversee construction delivery of the project, taking charge of the program from start to finish.

Other responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain construction programmes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of the project.
• Manage subcontractors and service suppliers, ensuring that they are all operating efficiently to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Implement the procurement strategy to ensure that all materials are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and of the highest quality.
• Practice value engineering to continuously identify and implement cost-saving measures without sacrificing quality.
• Ensure that delivery exceeds project parameters for time, cost, customer satisfaction, quality, and safety at all times.

In other words, you will be responsible for ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget, with high-quality standards, and most importantly, ensuring that everyone involved stays safe.

Required skills and experience

You are a Senior Project Engineer with at least 8 years of industry experience as well as well-rounded experience in similar roles on large building projects.

You will also have:

• Bachelor Degree in Construction, Engineering or similar
• 8+ years construction industry experience
• Proven experience on commercial building projects 15M+
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
