Job summary

FCC Construction Australia Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking a proactive Training and Onboarding Advisor to coordinate and deliver onboarding experiences for new employees on sites and in office settings.

You will work with hiring managers, project teams, and the People & Culture team to ensure new hires have the knowledge, tools, and support to succeed from day one, with a focus on compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating onboarding and learning programs in HR or similar.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end onboarding activities from offer to integration.
  • Deliver engaging induction programs for office and site-based employees.
  • Prepare onboarding schedules, training plans, and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate mandatory training, licences and certifications.
  • Maintain training records and LMS data.
  • Monitor training compliance and report to stakeholders.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and learning initiatives.
  • Liaise with external providers and internal experts.
  • Support apprentices, graduates, cadets, and employee development programs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in onboarding and development processes.
  • Support broader HR initiatives as required.

Join Our Team

We are seeking a proactive and people-focused Training and Onboarding Advisor to join our growing team in Sydney. This role is responsible for coordinating and delivering effective onboarding experiences for new employees while supporting training and development initiatives across the business.

Working closely with hiring managers, project teams, and the People & Culture team, you will play a key role in ensuring employees are equipped with the knowledge, tools, and support needed to succeed from day one.

**Please note this is a full-time site-based role in Sydney, NSW

About the Role

As the Training and Onboarding Advisor, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end onboarding process for new starters on project and supporting the implementation and coordination of training programs across the project.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and manage employee onboarding activities from offer acceptance through to successful integration into the business.

  • Deliver engaging induction and orientation programs for office and site-based employees.

  • Prepare onboarding schedules, training plans, welcome packs, and compliance documentation.

  • Coordinate mandatory training requirements, licences, and certifications.

  • Maintain employee training records and Learning Management System (LMS) data.

  • Monitor training compliance and provide regular reporting to stakeholders.

  • Assist in identifying training needs and supporting the development of learning initiatives.

  • Liaise with external training providers and internal subject matter experts.

  • Support the administration and coordination of apprentices, graduates, cadets, and employee development programs.

  • Contribute to continuous improvements in onboarding, learning, and development processes.

  • Provide support on broader HR and People & Culture initiatives as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in training coordination, onboarding, learning and development, HR, or a similar role.

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience coordinating training compliance and maintaining training records.

  • Confidence presenting information and facilitating onboarding sessions.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Learning Management Systems.

  • A collaborative and customer-focused approach.

Desirable
  • Qualifications in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Training, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

  • Experience working within the construction, engineering, infrastructure, or project delivery sectors.

  • Familiarity with training compliance requirements and workforce development programs.
