Job summary

Outside Ideas, a South Australian civil contractor, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead technical and operational delivery on major civil projects. You will work with experienced Project Managers and site teams to drive programmes, coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, and ensure design compliance.

This role offers a clear pathway toward Project Management, mentoring junior engineers, and developing client and stakeholder relationships as the company grows its capabilities in civil

Qualifications

• Must hold a Civil Engineering qualification and be eligible to work in Australia.
• Senior Project Engineer experience in civil infrastructure is required.
• Strong technical and project delivery capability across projects.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of project outcomes.
• Confidence coordinating subcontractors and site teams.
• Strong client and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.
• Genuine ambition to progress into a Project Manager role.

Responsibilities

• Leading engineering activities across all stages of project delivery.

The Role

As Senior Project Engineer, you will take a leading role across the technical and operational delivery of civil projects while working closely with experienced Project Managers and site teams.

You will be responsible for:
