Job summary

Talent Associates Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join a national civil construction leader in South Australia. You will provide engineering leadership, project programming and contract management across major civil works while coordinating with Project Managers, Supervisors and multidisciplinary delivery teams.

This role offers progression, technical ownership and the opportunity to contribute to DIT projects, bulk earthworks and energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Senior Project Engineer experience within civil infrastructure.
• Strong technical capability and understanding of project management principles.
• Proven ability to plan, organise and deliver work to strict timelines.
• Experience supervising subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Exposure to bulk earthworks, energy infrastructure, and DIT projects.
• Willingness to undertake DIDO/FIFO work when required for remote energy projects.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities across all project delivery stages.
• Coordinate managers, supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare project programs and support commercial performance.
• Ensure compliance with design, specifications, temporary works and WHS requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to site personnel and interpreting engineering documentation.
• Managing fabrication, construction sequencing and overall project scheduling.
• Participating in subcontract tender evaluations and scope reviews.
• Preparing progress, cost, manpower and procurement reports.
• Monitoring construction schedules, methods, manning charts and equipment requirements.
• Identifying and advising on corrective actions to maintain project progress.
• Ensuring accuracy and currency of project reporting and schedule information.
• Overseeing inspection practices and mentoring Site Engineers.
• Verifying temporary works designs and conducting progressive engineering audits.

Role Overview
