Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to take a leading role in the successful delivery of our civil construction projects. This is a senior position suited to an experienced civil construction professional who can confidently take ownership of projects, lead teams, manage commercial outcomes and build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end delivery of civil construction projects, from initial planning and mobilisation through to successful completion.

Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, resources and delivery strategies to achieve project objectives.

Coordinate project teams, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Manage commercial performance, cost control, forecasting and project reporting.

Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, programme, quality, safety and compliance.

Identify project risks early and implement practical and effective solutions to minimise their impact on delivery.

Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and key delivery partners.

Provide leadership, direction and support to site teams throughout all stages of project delivery.

Take ownership of project outcomes and ensure works are delivered to a high standard, on programme and within budget.

About you

Strong ability to read, understand and interpret civil drawings, specifications and design documentation.

Strong commercial acumen, including cost control, forecasting, budgeting and contract administration.

Broad experience across all aspects of civil construction, with a strong understanding of practical project delivery.

Proven ability to lead crews, coordinate subcontractors and manage multiple concurrent work fronts.

Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.

A demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship and effective leadership.

A proactive and practical approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

The ability to work autonomously, take responsibility and confidently drive projects and outcomes from commencement through to completion.
