Job summary

Remote Area Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation seeks a Program Manager – Strengthening Family Connections to lead a diverse family support portfolio across remote communities in Queensland. You will oversee a team of ten to twelve staff, ensure high-quality services, and manage government reporting and stakeholder engagement.

We require strong leadership, expertise in family support and child protection, and a commitment to culturally safe practices and self-determination.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership and people management experience across multiple programs and sites
• Solid knowledge of family support, child protection, and domestic and family violence services in Queensland
• Trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally safe practice frameworks
• Ability to provide high-level practice oversight and supervision for diverse staff
• Strong program management skills: planning, monitoring, budgeting, and improvement activities
• Experience preparing government and funding body reports with contractual compliance
• Proven ability to manage remote service delivery and engage with diverse communities
• Excellent written and verbal communication for reports and correspondence
• Commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander self-determination and community-controlled sector
• Capacity to manage competing priorities and coordinate with executive leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ten to twelve staff across programs and sites
• Oversee practice, supervision, and reflective casework oversight
• Manage government and funding body reporting, and compliance
• Engage stakeholders including government, funders, and communities
• Plan, monitor, and evaluate service delivery across concurrent programs
• Administer budgets and drive continuous improvement in outcomes
• Support remote site operations and remote service delivery challenges
• Represent RAATSIC with external agencies and Elders
• Prepare high-quality reports and briefing papers
