Your part in our UnitingCare team As a Child and Family Remote Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in supporting children and families in rural and remote communities through our Remote Area Families Service (RAFS). Based in Longreach, you’ll provide mobile services that strengthen family wellbeing and support children’s learning and development. You’ll travel to remote communities to build meaningful relationships with children, families and local stakeholders. You’ll deliver evidence‑based programs that promote child development and family wellbeing, helping children prepare for learning and life. You’ll deliver mobile early childhood development and family support programs for children from birth to 12 years and their families. This includes facilitating playgroups, workshops and community education; connecting families with information, advice and referral pathways; maintaining accurate case records; and building trusted relationships with communities and local stakeholders. Approximately 60% of your working hours will involve travel and overnight stays in rural and remote locations.
