Opteon in Australia is seeking a senior Product Engineer who will lead complex initiatives with autonomy, champion rapid, evidence-based learning, and coach others to work the same way. You’ll influence the roadmap through learnings and outcomes.

You’ll own outcomes end-to-end, design robust solutions across legacy and modern platforms, and drive AI-enabled development with safe practices and strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years delivering software professionally at scale.
• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain NV1 security clearance.
• Strong C# skills across .NET Framework, .NET Core/8+ and ASP.NET.
• Hands-on with agentic AI coding assistants and AI concepts.
• Experience with AWS and modern frontend frameworks (Vue) with JavaScript/TypeScript.

Responsabilités

• Own outcomes end to end for complex product problems with measurable business results.
• Build robust solutions across legacy and modern platforms; release safely via CI/CD with testing and monitoring.
• Drive discovery using user research, prototypes and spikes to inform go/no-go decisions.
• Embed product thinking with hypothesis-driven delivery and outcome metrics in team rituals.
• Coach Product Engineers and peers on discovery, operating model behaviours and technical craft.
• Challenge the feature factory and propose outcome-based alternatives.
• Lead with AI by modeling productive use of agentic coding tools and setting safety standards.
