Job summary

Opteon, a leading global property solutions provider, is expanding its ANZ Engineering leadership with a senior individual contributor role focused on the US platforms. You will own complex product initiatives, coach peers, and shape roadmaps through evidence-based learning.

Qualifications

• 6+ years delivering software professionally at scale.
• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Willingness to work reasonable flexible cross-over hours with a US-based team.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Own outcomes end to end for complex product problems with measurable business results.
• Build robust solutions across legacy and modern platforms with CI/CD and proper testing/monitoring.
• Drive discovery via user research, prototypes and technical spikes before scaling.
• Embed product thinking with hypothesis-driven delivery and outcome metrics.
• Coach Product Engineers on discovery, operating model behaviours and technical craft.
• Challenge the feature factory and propose outcome-based alternatives.
• Lead with AI, exploring agentic coding tools and safe AI-assisted development.
