Pacific Energy in Brisbane is seeking experienced Senior and Principal Power Systems Engineers to join our Design & Engineering team. You will deliver power system studies, grid connection activities, and model development across renewable energy, microgrid, and storage projects.

The Senior role requires strong analytical skills and knowledge of PSCAD, PSS/E and PowerFactory, with leadership and mentoring potential for Principal opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of power system analysis and grid connection studies.
• Experience with PSCAD, PSS®E, PowerFactory and Python.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and technical reporting skills.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience (preferred for Principal).

Responsibilities

• Deliver power system modelling and analysis for generation, renewable energy and microgrid projects.
• Execute grid connection studies and ensure compliance with Australian markets (NEM, SWIS, NWIS).
• Develop, validate and benchmark models; support cross-platform conversions.
• Prepare technical reports and recommendations; collaborate with project teams.
